Self-control strategies
What does prevention look like? A teacher who notices a challenge before it escalates and defuses it calmly. Done consistently, that eliminates up to 90% of low-level disruptions.
Teachers learn and practice each strategy during the day, so the system is ready for their very next class.
Academics and discipline cannot be separated. Low-level behavior takes instruction time all day, and even the strongest content teacher cannot deliver a lesson in a room that is out of control.
The strategies in this training reduce or eliminate 70 to 90% of low-level, chronic behaviors. Teachers get time back and feel more effective, and that matters for retention: classroom management is the number one reason educators leave.
